Morgan Stanley Private Bank, National Association ("MSPBNA") offers banking and credit products and services, including securities-based lending, mortgage loans and home equity lines of credit primarily to Morgan Stanley Wealth Management's high net worth clients.

MSPBNA is seeking an Executive Director who will lead in designing, developing, and managing mortgage products intended to meet the needs of our clients while complying with regulatory, risk, and operational requirements. The role, which sits within the Morgan Stanley Home Loans Product Group, will report to the Head of Product Management and Business Development, and work closely with Home Loans management and external partners to manage a pipeline of initiatives critical to the growth of the business and to ensuring an exemplary client experience.

Job Description/Position Responsibilities:

• Lead new product development initiatives from inception to implementation

• Ability to drive projects through to completion

• Drive analysis and recommendations based on data, client and Advisor input, Sales feedback, and Legal / Compliance / Risk guidance

• Develop relationships with key stakeholders to ensure collaboration, alignment, and agreement on all initiative

• Demonstrates project management best practices and is able to coach others towards the same

• Collaborate across the business to ensure alignment and agreement on initiatives and to avoid duplicating effort

• Communicate with senior leadership on product / project update

• Contribute to budget requests and tech roadmap as it relates to successful implementation of new products or product enhancement

• Exercise appropriate judgment on when to escalate issues and engage partners on critical decision

• Models a proactive, positive approach to the work environment and expected deliverable

• Manage a team, providing support and guidance towards achieving shared business objective

• May involve participation / ownership in New Product Approval or Program Change Management processe

• Takes initiative in identifying areas of improvement or opportunities for innovation

• Stay abreast of industry news and impacts to the busine

Qualifications:

Required Experience

• 10-15 years of professional experience in product management or banking service

• Working experience in Consumer Banking, Mortgage, Wealth Management and/or top tier consulting firms is a plu

• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional, strategic initiative

• BA/BS required

Skills/Abilities:

• Self-motivated and able to work independently

• Experience managing a team

• Experience with product development or product management

• Strong project management and organizational skill

• Ability to utilize data to drive decision making

• Strong relationship building and collaboration skill

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)

• Ability to learn quickly about mortgages or expand on past experience in the mortgage industry

New York :

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $175,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
