ECU Health Wellness Centers are medical fitness facilities designed to empower members to achieve optimal health. Each of the three locations-Greenville, Washington and Ahoskie-offer a broad range of exercise, aquatic and wellness services for all ages and fitness levels, including personal training, group fitness classes, Exercise is Medicine programs, massage therapy, nutrition counseling and more.

Position Summary

The Exercise Specialist will plan, implement, supervise, and monitor exercise prescription and progression in groups and one on one. In this role, you will educate, motivate, monitor and assist customers/patients to assure safety and a positive experience. Will cultivate a customer/patient and family centered approach by including goals and wishes of the participant/patient in the exercise programming/prescription. May serve as team leader for specialty program of expertise.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

• Zero to two years related experience

Preferred:

• Personal training experiences

Other Information

• This is a PRN, As Needed position

• Monday - Sunday

• Shift hours varies
