The Office of Global Affairs at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Faculty Led Program Coordinator.

About the Opportunity

This position will provide support to the Faculty-Led Program Specialist (FLPS), faculty leaders, chaperones, and students with regards to the design, development, recruitment, and implementation of approximately 50 WVU faculty-led study abroad programs offered annually.

What You'll Do

Program Recruitment

  • FLP coordinator will provide program recruitment support through a recruitment plan developed in coordination with FLPS and program leaders.
  • Recruitment includes, but is not limited to, attending and presenting at in-person and virtual events/classes, email communications, social media outreach, and printed flyers.
  • Attending campus events such as New Student Orientation, EngineerFest, and Chamber's Global Evening, for the promotion of Education Abroad opportunities
  • Work in conjunction with the rest of the staff to offer information sessions and panel discussions.
  • Social media posts for FLEP programs


Faculty-led Program Specialist (FLPS) Support Tasks

  • Development of program materials such as flyers, information sheets, and websites.
  • Draft reports of FLPS program expenses via MyExpenses
  • Tracking faculty p-card training and applications processes
  • Compiling student rosters and information for vendor processes
  • Scheduling required meetings for each Faculty-led program including pre-departure budget meeting, pre-departure student orientation and meet up with program leaders, and post-trip reconciliation/debrief


Student Support

  • Monitoring student application and troubleshooting questions related to student applications
  • Following up on student application materials related to deadlines
  • Communicating with students related to upcoming events and program related information such as flight itineraries, meeting locations, program changes, etc.
  • Alerting FLPS and Ed Abroad Director of needed accommodations or travel deviation requests for individual students


Pay Grade: 15

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of two (2) year of experience in an office environment or employed in higher education institution.
  • A minimum of two (2) year of customer service experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
