Responsibilities

This role provides administrative support within the Faculty Support Office and to College of Law faculty including but not limited to:
  • Answering incoming phone calls to the Faculty Support Office;
  • Creating and updating attendance spreadsheets and sign-in sheets;
  • Creating and distributing course photo rosters;
  • E-mailing professors weekly attendance summaries;
  • Creating seating charts and name placards for professors;
  • Collecting textbook information from faculty; ordering desk copies;
  • Maintaining/publishing a complete list of textbooks for students;
  • Replenishing supplies in the faculty lounge and conference/work room;
  • Organizing office supplies and exams storage;
  • Assisting with preparation for faculty meetings;
  • Typing handwritten documents;
  • Editing PowerPoint presentations;
  • Assisting with copying and scanning projects;
  • Preparing mailings;
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the Faculty Support Lounge and preparing coffee for the faculty lounge;
  • Providing direct assistance to the Faculty Support Program Manager and assisting other Faculty Support Office staff; a nd
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalency and one year experience in an educational and/or office setting is required. Post-high school education may substitute for work experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment, office practices, procedures, and etiquette.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple work assignments, and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Anticipated Salary Range

The anticipated salary range for this position is $13-$15 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.

Considerations

This is an OPS/temporary job.

Based on the duties, this position may require completion of a criminal history background check .

Works 8am-5pm Monday-Friday in-person, with a 1-hour break for lunch. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends may be required. Occasional overtime hours may be required and during exam periods.
