Job Description:

The School of Art + Art History (SAAH) in the College of the Arts seeks federal work study student assistant to assist in the photography darkroom and computer labs.

Responsibilities :
  • Monitoring students in photo darkrooms and computer labs
  • Checking out and in of photography equipment
  • Assisting students with basic inkjet printing
  • Assisting students with basic computer lab procedures
  • Setting up and breaking down of chemistry in the darkroom
  • Uphold and enforce all area rules
  • Assist in the clean up of the labs
Expected Salary:

$13/hour

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have Federal Work Study award
  • Availability to work potential shifts during weekdays 5pm-10pm and weekends 12pm-10pm, with as possibility for some daytime shifts
  • Willing to handle hazardous materials after training with supervisor
Preferred Qualifications:

The successful candidate will bring to the position:
  • Ability to work independently with directions
  • Experience with MAC computers and Adobe Photoshop
  • Strong interest or experience with analog or digital photography practice
  • Evidence of success in promoting an environment that advances pluralism, curiosity, viewpoint diversity, open discourse, and the well-being of all.
