POSITION SUMMARY:

The Food Safety Manager is a highly skilled and experienced position that oversees food safety programs, regulatory management, and compliance. This role significantly reduces risk to the brand by ensuring the highest level of compliance across our entire organization. As a key player, the Food Safety Manager implements and maintains food safety best practices in the field, drives quality initiatives, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement along with field based in market training. With a strategic mindset and a passion for excellence, this role plays a critical part in maintaining food safety standards across our entire system. 



POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Collaborate closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure food safety standards are met throughout the supply chain
  • Conduct regular store audits and inspections to verify compliance with food safety protocols. 
  • Identify potential food safety risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. 
  • Implement preventive measures to safeguard against contamination, spoilage, and other hazards. 
    • In Field training to restaurant staff on proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene practices. 
  • Provide ongoing education to enhance food safety awareness. 
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans related to food safety incidents. 
  • Coordinate with local health departments during emergencies. 
  • Stay informed about changes in food safety regulations and industry best practices. 
  • Ensure that all restaurants adhere to updated guidelines. 
  • Regularly inspect food storage areas, preparation stations, and serving areas. 
  • Monitor temperature controls, cleanliness, and proper handling procedures. 
  • Work closely with restaurant managers and operations teams to address food safety concerns. 
  • Guide corrective actions when needed. 
  • Analyze data related to food safety incidents, trends, and compliance. 
  • Generate reports for senior leadership and recommend improvements. 
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance food safety practices. 
  • Implement new technologies or processes to elevate food safety standards. 
  • Respond promptly to guest complaints related to food safety. 
  • Uphold the brand's reputation by ensuring safe and high-quality dining experiences. 

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

Knowledge:
  •   Proven understating of food safety principles and regulations. 

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field is required. 
  • CPFS Preferred
  • HACCP Certification Required.

Position Requirements:


  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). 
  • Familiarity with third-party software systems. 
  • Shows a high degree of initiative in addressing food safety challenges. 
  • Adapts to changing organizational and operational needs. 
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Can make effective presentations to various group sizes. 
  • Communicates effectively with others at all levels within the organization. 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. 
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Travel up to 50%
