Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Austin, TX
Shift: Mon-Friday 1st shift, but flexible to meet customer requirements
Compensation: $35-$47/hr depending on qualifications and experience! Options for OT!

Travel: 100% travel to US customer locations (possibly Mexico or Canada). Airfare is paid by the company and all other expenses are reimbursed to a company credit card. Per diem rate for weekday and weekend work provided!

Position Description:
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and repair of the company Group CNC machining centers with total customer satisfaction in mind and ensuring the users of company machines are satisfied with its performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC machining centers.
• Setup, install, and commission of CNC machines and install retrofits.
• Conducts training on the operation and maintenance of CNC machining centers.
• Assures machine performance to the OEM specification.
• Renders technical advice and acts as a trusted advisor to customers.
• Provides detailed reports upon completion of service jobs.
• Maintains good communication with Service Department personnel both remote and at the headquarters in Charlotte, NC.

Requirements:
This is the perfect career opportunity for an industry-experienced Electronics Technician interested in high-travel field service work! US Navy Nuclear ETs/EMs and Aviation Electronics Technicians with industry experience would be a great fit!
• Advanced understanding of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting techniques in CNC machining centers - geometry, ball screws, soft spindles, hydraulics, pneumatics, geometry, multimeters, etc.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing up to 5-axis CNC machining centers, 10 years preferred.
• Siemens Controls, the company, or Fanuc machining center experience desired.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Decision maker with a positive attitude and ability to multi-task.
• Intermediate computer skills and Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
• Self-motivated, and customer-centric.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working on company machining centers, Fanuc or Siemens Control preferred.
• Valid driver's license/passport required.
