The Marine Field Service Engineer, Propulsion (FSE) plans and executes, with minimal professional guidance, complex technical field assignments involving the installation, modification, test, inspection or repair of company products and equipment. The FSE may also coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting customer commitments. Since the FSE is often the one who interacts with the customer's operations personnel, they may also recommend measures to improve operations and customer service.

Required Skills & Experience

* More than two years' experience in marine service industry

* Familiarity with marine/offshore work environment and procedures

* High School Diploma or Associates Degree in engineering or other technical field

* Strong understanding of electrical components for large equipment/power grids

* Be able to travel by helicopter offshore

* Must be able to work in confirmed spaces

* Be able to travel by launch/vessel to job destination and complete embarking/disembarking requirements as trained when helicopter travel is unavailable.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Experience interacting and communicating with all levels of customer, factories, and internal departments, both verbally and in writing.

* Experience in field service business, marine preferably

* Skills: hydraulics and mechanical experience providing maintenance or installation services
