The Finance Analyst will provide financial analysis to support Sales and Supply Chain business.
Analyzes brand sales and units across departments to create value added insights and projections. Works collaboratively across departments including (Merchandising, Operations, Marketing, Pricing/Promo, Finance, Merch Planning).
Partners with manager to lead budgeting and forecasting of our Freetown facility including management of cases / units to understand key drivers and insights. Facilitate along with Supply Chain the mid and month end period results meeting to understand performance and future expectations.
Primary Duties
>Support the creation and publication of sales and supply chain reports and PowerBI Dashboards across the business including, department, regional and facility views.
>Understand and utilize Revenue Model (BPC) at the store level to create budget and forecast modeling. Implement into Stop & Shop Sales planning process. Partner across brands to understand best practices.
>Manage the NYC store remodel performance including key drivers that impact the quarterly results.
>Create, monitor, and present insights to understand recommended actions on Competitor Intrusions. Detailed analysis on results vs. expected impact including commentary that articulates the situation.
>Partner with the manager and operational team (Regional VPs) on Store budgets and forecasts to understand and present sales drivers.
>Create and analyze the Freetown DC budget, forecast and projections with the Supply Chain team. Insights include all P&L line items that impact performance.
> Supports the facilitation / discussion with Supply Chain Finance leads on mid period and period end results. Work with Supply Chain on creating ownership for the bi-weekly cadence. Present Freetown results in mid and period end meetings.
>Proactively work with the manager to identify and develop sales reporting needs for the business support manager in appropriate business decisions.
>Define the need for improved system support by taking advantage of technological and industry advancements to gain better insight, more quickly and provide analytical tools and insights to the Division to drive better business decisions and results.
Requirements:
2-4 years of experience in Commercial Finance
Bachelor's Degree. Master's Preferred - Finance, Accounting or Related Field
Advanced Excel and Power BI skills required
Comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Thrives working cross functionally as well as within a team environment
Must be in the Quincy office 3 days a week
