Description:

The successful candidate will join the Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis (EFP&A) Finance team within the Corporate Planning group. This role focuses on the analyses of AXP-wide Operating & Marketing Expenses. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of Operating & Marketing Expenses, providing senior management with timely and insightful information to drive decisions; and has exposure to both Corporate Planning leadership as well as Business Unit Finance teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the end-to-end AXP-wide Operating Expenses, which includes review of monthly results, and supports the annual plan and long-range plan process
  • Support monthly review and analysis of AXP-wide Advertising & Promotion expenses
  • Prepare key reports for analyzing the enterprise results for Senior leaders in the company
  • Build and develop relationships with the business unit and controllership finance teams
  • Create and maintain Power BI Operating Expenses dashboards
  • Translate and present complex data into easily understood language for customer groups
  • Perform ad hoc analytics at the AXP level to better understand key trends and drivers
  • Identify opportunities for increased automation, enhanced controls, and increased efficiencies


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Business/Finance/Accounting preferred).
  • Highly motivated individual with an ability to drive results and collaborate effectively
  • Strong financial analysis skills including financial modeling, reporting and problem solving.
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, initiative, and strong work ethics are essential.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to working in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple demands, driving results within critical deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Power BI and Tableau.
  • TM1 experience.
  • Knowledge of card business model and economics.
  • 2-4 years of relevant Finance/Business work experience.


Qualifications

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
