Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: assisting with implementing control programs, creating risk assessments, and aiding in the training of control test plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Duties
- Ensure that financial systems are in compliance with the Federal Financial Management Improvement Act of 1996.
- Implement an entity wide internal control program.
- Write risk assessment and conduct testing to determine if internal controls are designed and operating effectively.
- Conduct testing to identify fraud, waste and abuse.
- Consolidate submissions from the Medical Treatment Facilities, markets and headquarters.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This is a financial management Level 3 Certified position. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
