The Financial Systems Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of financial systems within an organization. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring that financial systems meet the organizations needs.
Project Management: Lead projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide regular updates on project progress.
System Implementation: Oversee the installation and configuration of financial systems, ensuring they are integrated seamlessly with existing processes.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project success.
Training and Support: Provide training to end-u and ongoing support to ensure they can effectively use the new systems.
Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of financial systems and make improvements as necessary.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and technical specifications.
Project Management Expertise: Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with financial systems and software, as well as IT infrastructure.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate project teams.

Required Skills & Experience
Manage preparation of partnership compliance efficiently.
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
Minimum 5 years IT project management and financial systems integration.
Strong understanding of taxation processes & financial systems both current and legacy.
Analytical, solutions-focused mindset with the proven ability to work independently and collaborate cross functionally.
Proficiency with software and system applications (OneSource Tax Provision, CorpTax, Microsoft Office 365, SAP,) and ability to learn internal applications.
Strong computer skills with a focus on both analytical and research tools including SAP, Business Warehouse, Advanced excel, Power Query / Alteryx or similar platforms.
Experience: 6+ years of industry experience.
Understanding of ASC 740 Tax Provision
Previous experience working with technical SMEs from cross functional teams and overseeing adequate project performance through implementation(cradle to grave project management).
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Previous migration experience from legacy to current financial systems.
Previous experience working with critical information and back-end processes and procedures.
Previous experience as a technical SME within financial products and platforms.
