Job Summary

Great opportunity to join a dynamic and high-performing team in support of TGH's first comprehensive capital campaign: Elevating Excellence. This is an entry-level position onto the TGH Foundation Team, primed for a candidate ready and eager to grow and develop their career and existing skillsets in office & project management, together with providing direct support to a high-performing development team.

The TGH Foundation Development Coordinator supports the Vice President of Development, while assisting the foundation team in the administrative coordination of fundraising activities and office management. This position is an integral member of the development team and will offer critical support to achieve the aggressive fundraising and operational goals of the organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide direct support to the Vice President of Development
  • Assist the Development team with donor proposals, basic prospect research, grants, scheduling meetings, calendar and contacts maintenance, meeting set-up, preparation and follow-up, among additional supportive functions
  • Office management and day-to-day function of the Foundation Office, including but not limited to answering phones, accepting and processing mail, supplies ordering and inventory
  • Manage updates to constituent database (in coordination with the Operations Team) to ensure all contacts are properly moved through development process and coded appropriately.
  • Coordinate, attend and draft minutes and other documents for development-specific meetings (as needed)
  • Achieve proficiency in Blackbaud database
  • Write, proofread, edit, and send correspondence, including but not limited to: Fund agreements, addendums, donor letters and gift proposals.
  • Process check requests for department expenses.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required: High School diploma or GED required; Two (2) years of experience in area(s) related to community engagement, development, project & office management and/or event coordination. Prior nonprofit work experience a plus.

Preferred: Candidate with strong project/time management skills, attention to detail, works well independently & with a team, and excellent communication abilities (written and verbal).

  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, ability to manage multiple tasks, define and set priorities and problem-solve, strong communication and people-skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required (specifically Mail Merge using Excel and MS Word) - experience with Blackbaud, Raisers Edge and/or Financial Edge a plus
  • Building relationships, both internally and externally to the organization

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
