An oil and gas client of Insight global is looking for a seasoned software engineer to join their team in Downtown Houston. The ideal candidate will be adept to handle all aspects of software development as the team members are responsible for multiple projects from start to finish. This person will be joining a team of 9 other developers to resolve a backlog of production issues and take on project-based work to enhance over 50 internal applications. The software engineer will be responsible for supporting existing applications and building new ones for the business long-term. It is essential that this person is a team player that can collaborate with team members to compromise on the best business solutions. They will be required to come onsite 5 days a week.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems, Information Systems, or related field

10+ years of experience in software development utilizing C#

Skilled in modern front-end frameworks, specifically Angular version 6 or higher

Strong background in back-end development utilizing SQL Server

Experience with all aspects of the SDLC with a focus on test-driven development

Ability to work effectively within a team environment to address a comprehensive backlog and develop new applications from scratch

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience utilizing React Native for front-end development

Strong proficiency with Test Driven Development

Knowledge of Clean Architecture
