Full-stack Software Engineer

DCS Corp. is looking for a versatile full-stack web software engineer with a broad skill set to remotely support a variety of defense-related research and development initiatives. Topic areas may concern coordination and communication among human and/or machine teammates, interface development to support management of autonomous resources, and more.

Essential job functions:
In this position, you may be asked to:
Design back end web architectures to support real-time sensor data integration and visualization.
Deploy off-the-shelf web scalability solutions and integrate with custom services.
Design secure systems in coordination with specialist teammates.
Write, test, build, deploy, and maintain performant web services.
Design and implement browser-based visualizations of complex sensor, simulation, and/or linguistic data.
Integrate custom machine learning models into deployed services and applications.
Fill in on miscellaneous esoteric programming projects, e.g. game development.

Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.
At least a BS degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline and 5 years of related experience.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.
Experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of modern web applications.
Demonstrated experience with the full DevOps lifecycle.
Experience with cloud deployments on a major cloud platform.
Facility with multiple programming languages.
Demonstrated experience with low-latency web applications.
Excellent technical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills:
Specific experience in Node.js, React, Python.
Experience deploying and managing one or more real-time database solutions.
Familiarity with current internet security requirements, protocols, and solutions.
Comfortable in Linux and Windows environments.
Awareness of aesthetic and usability issues.
Experience leading teams.
