FWS, Student Worker - Veterans & International Student Affairs - Clerical

Position Overview:

Cincinnati State is seeking a student worker that is interested in serving as a Clerical worker for the Veterans & International Student Affairs Office.

This is a Federal Student Worker (FSW) position; international students are not qualified for FSW.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as a Receptionist at the front desk of the office: answer phones, welcome walk-ins, answer basic questions related to the operations of the office
• Highly culturally competent and respectful of people from other countries is a must
• Must be able to tolerate sitting for up to 4 hours a day
• Ability to scan and organize files
• Must be able to work minimum of 15 to 20 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or have attained a GED. Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must meet and continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress
• Must have completed 12+ credit hours with a GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Weekly Hours: 10 - 15

Rate of Pay: $14.00 per hour
