About the team
Our Ads QA team focus on the quality assurance of the whole ads-system, including AD manager, delivery system, review system, conversion measurement and etc. We aim to improve the usability, reliability, stability of the whole system and user experience through project testing, automation testing, CI/CD system construction, test tool construction and etc. We are looking for people who have good business sense and testing/CICD/automation experience to join our team.

As a SDET leader in the team:
- You will have a significant impact on the quality and delivery speed of our software, our business, and most importantly, our users
- You build, and guide the team to guarantee the timely and high quality delivery of innovations in TikTok
- You lead the design, implementation, and delivery of test solutions for critical and highly complex software. As a domain expert, you influence the test solutions for multiple complex and critical components that have a direct impact on customer experience
- You drive process optimization, risk mitigation, and efficiency improvements to keep pushing the boundary of system quality
- You will gain a system-level view on quality and technology, and have the opportunity to invent new test approaches or propose improvements to our existing processes and automation systems to improve the team's speed and efficiency
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers to improve their technical skills and help them to grow

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
- 5 years of work experience in Quality Engineering as Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Engineer in Test
- Demonstrable experience in people management, resource planning, test strategy, and test execution as SDET Manager
- Experience in testing large-scale mobile/web/desktop applications on common platforms
- Proficient in at least one of the common OO languages, including Python, Java, etc
- Experience in test automation development using common automation framework
- Proficient in troubleshooting, QA process, quality management tools, and methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in testing large
- Scale and critical service/application involves Audio/Video Creation, AI applications, or AR/VR technologies
- Solid knowledge of modern web/mobile application architecture and common cloud platforms
- People management experience in a diverse engineering team
- Strong verbal/written communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams
- Experience in collaboration with offshore teams
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment follows Agile methodologies
