About the team
Performance & Incentives (P&I) are powerful tools for furthering the company's strategic goals. A robust Performance & Incentives (P&I) strategy influences the organization's ability to attract and retain the best talent, while creating a strong alignment of individuals' interests with the organization's strategic goals. The Performance & Incentives team at ByteDance, therefore, are constantly benchmarking and striving for the best practice & return on investment in developing competitive C&B policies. The Performance & Incentives team works on a lot of interesting problems. Whether it is developing new world-class compensation policies, diving deep into market research, analyzing big data and benchmarking. The Performance & Incentives team work on a lot of cool and exciting projects to come up with the best ways to serve our organization. Given the nature of our work, it also creates huge opportunities for collaboration with departments in and outside of the HR organization.
You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing competitive incentive programs for our mobile employees globally. You will ensure these programs align with our strategic objectives and market trends, aiming to attract and retain top talent while optimizing costs.
What You Will Do:
1. Conduct comprehensive market research and benchmarking to ensure our mobility incentives remain competitive and attractive;
2. Design and implement competitive incentive programs for mobile employees that align with the company's strategic goals, including tax equalization policies for expatriates and tax planning for assignees;
3. Ensure global pay codes are compliant with regulatory requirements, including business traveler tracking and global tax review, and provide expert advice to business leaders on mobility incentive strategies, policies, and compliance matters;
4. Determine assignment and/or relocation cost estimates with reference to relocation, tax and social security costs, to continue to drive our high-performing culture;
5. Support the complexities of employer reporting and tax withholding obligations associated with the delivery of incentive compensation for RSUs and other Deferred Compensation Programs to domestic and mobile employees in multiple countries across the globe.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Tax or any related discipline;
2. Extensive experience in global mobility, compensation or a related function, with a focus on designing and managing incentive programs within a global or multinational organization;
3. Strong understanding of global tax equalization policies, expatriate management, expatriate tax planning, and compliance requirements;
4. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Preferred to have hands-on experience in the High Tech industry for developing incentives' policies, and ability to provide guidance and recommendations for scaling the corresponding programs accordingly;
2. Subject matter expert in employment tax, global personal income tax compliance, global compensation, and mobility strategy;
3. Ability to leverage Global Mobility knowledge to influence talent strategy related to organizational and business objectives;
4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research and benchmarking effectively.
