Duties and Responsibilities:


Clerical and administrative tasks as assigned including
- Keep well-organized files documenting activities and contacts of the Center
- Maintain program files, manuals, and binders
- Update the Catholic Studies bulletin board with creative material that helps market programs, promote upcoming events, and other related activities

Handle Office communications
- Manage mail, email, and answer phones
- Create and disseminate Monthly email bulletin
- Prepare bi-annual bulk mailings of the Center Newsletter and Impact Report
- Maintain database of contacts and mailing lists

Program and Event assistance
- Assist in the design, creation, and dissemination of promotional materials such news stories, social media posts, SHU calendar events, QR codes, e-blasts, and flyers.
- Assist in event set up, clean up, and facilitation when needed
- Maintain registration lists and handle event-related emails

Manage and update Center webpages including
- Ongoing announcements, forum threads, and new resources
- Assist with Center social media platforms
- Upload videos to the Center YouTube channel and website

Assist the Director of Programs in planning, implementing, and promoting an ongoing schedule of events and activities

Maintain working relationships with the Catholic Studies Program, Center for Vocation and Servant Leadership, Campus Ministry, DOVE, and University Relations to develop and promote programs and activities

Assist the Director and Director of Programs to foster the program

Assist in editing articles for the Lonergan Review and other publications

Assist Visiting Toth Lonergan Chair as needed

Other duties as assigned



Required Qualifications:


Full-time, admitted Seton Hall graduate student

Must possess an understanding of and willingness to support and represent the Seton Hall Catholic mission

Strong written and editorial skills including proofreading

Must have attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs

Familiarity with technology including but not limited to Piratenet applications, Outlook, Social media (facebook, Instagram), Microsoft suite, Adobe, email marketing platforms, Monday.com, and Canva

Desired Qualifications:

Previous experience in ministry, religious education, or a Catholic environment desirable
