JOB SUMMARY:

The Financial Aid Office at Seton Hall University is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Student Worker to join our team. As a Graduate Student Worker, you will be responsible for assisting in various financial aid processes and supporting students in their financial aid applications. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the higher education industry while making a positive impact on students' lives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist students in completing financial aid applications and forms
  • Review and verify financial aid documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Answer student inquiries in-person and via email regarding financial aid eligibility, deadlines, and procedures
  • Collaborate with Financial Aid Office staff on various projects
  • Maintain accurate records and databases of student financial aid files
  • Assist in organizing and executing financial aid workshops and information sessions
  • Provide support in other administrative tasks as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Currently enrolled as a graduate student at SHU
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Evening and weekend availability may be required
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Customer service-oriented mindset


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of financial aid programs and regulations is preferred
