The AWS Americas Industry team is looking for an experienced Healthcare Payer Industry Leader to join our fast-paced team to work with our strategic partners to lead and execute AWS Healthcare Payer business with partners, and drive joint GTM strategy, and help Healthcare Payer customers solve their business problems. As the Head of Healthcare Payers for Americas, you will be owning & managing the Healthcare Payer Partner business for Americas HCLS segment. Additional responsibilities include Healthcare Payer Industry partner pipeline management, contributing to the Medical Devices partner ecosystem strategy, managing strategic relationships with influential Technology (ISV), Consulting (G/SI), and driving CXO-level relationships with Medical Devices customers, and partners.
You have deep experience in commercial health plan operations ranging from health plan product configuration, member enrollment, care management, member engagement, prior authorizations, eligibility verification, and end-to-end claims processing (payments, EOBs, claims status inquiries, denials management). You are passionate about leveraging cloud technology and AI innovation to drive business outcomes for Healthcare Payers. You understand business problems faced by healthcare insurance plans and the business outcomes health plans need to drive. You thrive in a cross-functional matrixed environment, working closely with some of the best and brightest in the world. You have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, in complex situations. You will be an expert in running a business, as well as technically savvy enough to drive innovation, ease in doing business, and top and bottom-line revenue growth. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about new business models, solution selling, and partner engagement to help build and convey compelling value propositions for AWS customers through AWS Partners. You should also have a proven track record of influencing innovation through partners with prior solution and program successes. 6+ years industry work experience with a Healthcare Payer company is strongly preferred;
Additional experience consulting or business development specifically with Healthcare Payer companies is preferred
Key job responsibilities
Be part of the AMER Industry Team to drive the overall global AWS Healthcare Payers partner strategy to our internal and external stakeholders including the AWS sales teams, partner sales, as well as media coverage and industry events.
Build C-level relationships with our top Healthcare Payers customers, and partners.
Execute go-to-market and routes-to-market plans that have clear and measurable ROI.
Represent the AWS HCLS partner strategy internally and externally including presenting at Executive Briefings and Conferences.
Prioritize AWS investment in partners who focus on HCLS, including leading startups, consulting companies, and established ISV/SaaS technology vendors.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 5+ years of professional or military experience

The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market.
