Job Profile

JOB SUMMARY:

The Health Plan Specialist- Broker Coordinator is responsible for administrative processes associated with licensing, approval, re-applications, and re-certifications of Community Health Choice Agents/Broker partners. This position will participate in onboarding new Agents/Broker partners, including tracking and overseeing contracting and training. The Broker Coordinator will ensure that no lapses in licensing occur and that Agents/Brokers meet all company, compliance, and licensing requirements. They will manage multiple inboxes and serve as the liaison between Agent/Broker sales force and operations up to and including troubleshooting. The Broker Coordinator will provide company communications to Agents/Brokers and management in addition to preparing various weekly and monthly performance reports, presentations and materials. This position will assist at Agent/Broker and Community events as needed (including some weekends & evenings). The individual in this position should have a proven ability to work independently, take initiative and bring projects through to completion. In addition, this individual must have the ability to manage competing priorities and re-prioritize work as needed and have the ability to maintain focus in a dynamic environment. As part of the Business Development team, the Broker Coordinator will maintain and prow the Agent/Broker partnership to assist the sales team in achieving departmental goals and provide excellent customer service while complying with all appropriate regulatory guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: High School Diploma, Life and Health license within 90 days of hire date
  • Work Experience (Years and Area): One plus (1+) year experience in Health insurance, Healthcare, Medicare or other regulated industry to include customer service experience.
  • Equipment Operated: Excellent computer skills required, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must be able to utilize laptop, wireless internet equipment, phone system and portable printer. Salesforce experience a plus.
