Position Summary:

The Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology in the Department of Family Medicine, School of Medicine is made up of an interdisciplinary group of professionals whose mission is to address the changing health needs of older adults and those who love them. We are committed to delivering high-quality, comprehensive care in a variety of settings and to providing leadership in geriatric education, research, advocacy, and community outreach. Applies extensive knowledge of professional health education programs and policies to manage program administration and operations, which may include teaching and learning activities, program curriculum, learner scheduling, maintaining databases, tracking learner compliance, and program accreditation Participates in strategizing, planning, and implementation of substantial program improvements of large scope and high degrees of complexity.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $81,900.00 - $150,500.00 (Annual Salary). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $81,900.00 - $150,500.00 (Annual Salary).

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • Advanced knowledge relevant policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of a health professions education program curriculum and requirements.
  • Maintains a broad range of expertise in health professions education theory and industry best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of administrative analysis and operations research.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge and skills to develop and implement complex processes and systems improving program quality and efficiency and reducing cost.
  • Excellent communicator; includes verbal and written, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and counseling skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive personal information with appropriate discretion and judgment.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills.
  • Skills to work collaboratively coordinate and integrate with others throughout the organization.
  • Successful experience working with people with a wide range of backgrounds and skills.
  • Advanced organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead a team, prioritize personal and team tasks and see projects through from inception to completion on schedule.
  • Advanced personal organization skills and ability to apply to administration of the entire program including organizing critical files for compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of educational software and technologies to promote a wide-range of teaching and learning goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of data management, documentation methods used in investigating and presenting findings about the program.


Preferred:
  • Master's degree in related area preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of older, dependent, and disabled adults and the issues related to these populations.
  • Bi-lingual English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese or other language
  • Knowledge of university policies and programs that are affected by the federal, state, and local legislation and the ability to recognize emerging issues impacting the project, the university, and senior populations


Special Conditions Required:
  • Travel to offsite meetings/events/conferences in or out of state as required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license.
  • Position is subject to the California DMV's "Pull Notice System" and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record.
  • Weekend and evening availability as required.
