Health & Welfare Compliance Analyst

We are currently seeking a Health & Welfare Compliance Analyst to join our team.

The position is responsible for effectively executing activities that support State statutes and Federal regulations into daily operational processes and business practices. This position will ensure the successful administration of regulatory requirements within operational processes by effectively managing existing regulatory requirements, integrating new and changing requirements, assessing the impact to processes and procedures, assisting in the implementation of those requirements, and conducting evaluations of adherence and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Adheres to deadlines and produces deliverables as set by government agencies including IRS, DOL, CMS, and HHS. Additionally, works to satisfy all state taxing and regulatory bodies with benefits oversight.

• Collaborates with department leadership and Legal department to evaluate the impact of new and changing laws and regulations on current business processes. Applicable regulations include, but are not limited to, ACA (Affordable Care Act), ACA IRS Reporting, Medicare & CHIP programs, and other regulatory directives.

• Develops procedures and work flows to ensure compliance with the required regulatory legislation.

• Collaborates with Health & Welfare communications group to develop clear and accurate written communication tools to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Maintains accurate records and comprehensive documentation of activities, ensuring documents are compiled as needed to successfully meet requirements of governmental agencies.

• Informs department leadership of the status of activities and issues on a regular basis.

• Pursues continuing education opportunities to remain aware of changing standards, laws, rule and regulations, best practices and new developments in health care reform.

• Collaborates and communicates effectively with multiple departments to promote an increased understanding of existing, new and changing regulatory requirements.

• Supports a collaborative, cross-functional culture that is engaged in regulatory adherence, improved performance, quality standards, and efficiency of work processes.

• Performs regular data analysis, using knowledge of data, systems and operating practices. Responsible for reporting analysis findings to department leadership.

• Recommends the establishment of new or modified workflows, processes, policies and/or procedures to ensure regulatory adherence and quality outcomes.

• Participates in projects involving the integration of new and changing regulations into health and welfare operations, coordinating with all affected internal areas to ensure that business needs and regulatory directives are met within required time frames.

• Ensures compliance with deliverables and deadlines set by regulatory and government agencies and internal leadership. Prioritizes work plans and manages time effectively.

• Supports clients in complying with local, state and federal benefits offerings and eligibility requirements.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.

• Two to four years of experience in a related field is required.
