DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, the incumbent will develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance area hospitals success in organ and tissue donation. Will establish and maintain overall relationships between hospitals and Lifesharing staff by making frequent on-site visits during all shifts, assisting with policy and process development that maximize families' opportunities for organ and tissue donation.

Provides professional education about organ and tissue donation and transplantation to medical and nursing staff in hospitals as well as coordinate and conduct chart reviews, collaborate with procurement team on referrals and donor cases, and assure hospital compliance with TJC, CMS, and other agencies. Performs other related job duties as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus Five (5) years of related experience in a healthcare organization.
  • Ability to interact effectively with healthcare professionals, including executive and management leaders, physicians, clinical and support staff.
  • Proven ability to develop and lead both group and one-on-one training sessions.
  • Strong ability to analyze data and report findings to groups and individuals in a constructive and solution oriented manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to use diplomacy and tact.
  • Demonstrated practitioner knowledge of MS Office.
  • Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgement and accountability.
  • Ability to be a self-starter who is accountable and requires minimal direction and supervision and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Solid ability to work with flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in the successful development of marketing strategies for the field or organ or tissue donation, or related.
  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Records.
  • Knowledge/development of current policies and directives related to organ and tissue donation.
  • Knowledge of Association of Organ Procurement Organization's Hospital Development standards.
  • Knowledge of CMS/TJC Hospital organ donation standards & regulations.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must have a valid CA driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $116,000 - $224,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $55.56 - $107.38

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
