Position Title: Human Resources Specialist

Location: University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB)

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the Human Resources Specialist will administer various HR policies and programs daily. This role covers a broad spectrum of HR functions, including recruiting, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, and personnel research. The successful candidate will also monitor and maintain department-specific databases and systems, with potential responsibilities for Oracle data input and ensuring data integrity as well as workflow approvals.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Administer and manage HR policies and programs across multiple HR functions.


  • Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and coordination of interviews.


  • Assist in the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.


  • Facilitate training programs and support employee development initiatives.


  • Address employee relations issues and support the resolution of workplace concerns.


  • Conduct personnel research and analysis to support HR initiatives.


  • Monitor and maintain departmental databases and HR systems, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.


  • Input and manage data within Oracle and oversee workflow approvals.

  • Compensation:

    $18.85 - $21.27 per hour



Qualifications

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.


  • At least one (1) year of related HR experience is required .


  • Work experience may substitute for the education requirement.
