What You'll Do

As part of the (STARS) Team, you will be playing the role of Business Process Analyst. You will primarily be interacting with system users at JFS to understand their needs and translate it into user requirements for the system developers and testers. In this position you will use your knowledge of interpret program policy, state and federal regulations, and translating them into requirements to build and support technical solutions for the entire agency.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Analyzing and documenting current business processes including workflows, data flows and business rules
  • Creating plans and systems views to show the difference between current state and future state
  • Facilitating discussions and function as a liaison between various stakeholders, managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring successful communications between project team members
  • Perform validation of requirements, if necessary, for the successful completion of the information technology projects
  • Present mentorship opportunities to peers and/or junior associates via conversation, observation, or technical documentation
Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday - Friday

Qualifications

The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following:

OPTION 1:

  • 60 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.


Option 2:

  • Completion of associate core program in computer science, information systems, or business administration;


AND

  • 42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.


Option 3:

  • Completion of undergraduate core program in computer science, information systems, or business administration


AND

  • 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.


Or

  • Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Pay Information

This position is in the State of Ohio's E1 Pay Schedule, Pay Range 35. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $36.99 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
