Project Manager Client Support Services | Birmingham, AL, United States Description:
This position is responsible for a specific post-sale client experience (i.e. Clinical, Patient, Consumer, Employee) during the implementation and delivery of that product line to be carried out in accordance with established specifications, schedules, budgets and milestones. The PM coordinates interdepartmental functions by demonstrating strong leadership skills in order to minimize delays and meet with team members on a regular basis to review project status and plan future actions.
Primary duties include but are not limited to the following: • Responsible for project management, customer relationship management, financial/budgeting, and resource management/team building in a matrix organization • Develop project management plans, communication plans, change control plans, risk management plans and quality management plans • Identify and define the knowledge and skills required for a software development/system integration project team • Develop and maintain project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), WBS dictionaries, and work packages • Plan and conduct internal and client project kickoff/handoff meetings • Develop, manage and maintain project schedules and timelines • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues • Create and maintain accurate project files and documentation • Manage and enforce project change control processes • Assign roles and responsibilities, build a comprehensive project definition/scope document and successfully execute on a project plan • Planning and submitting recommendations to resolve discrepancies, taking action on issues of non-compliance and keeping lines of communication open among all project stakeholders • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of internal/external management, including up to a senior/executive level • Delivery of a wide variety of implementation tasks such as customer training, technical support, technical writing, quality assurance and/or software development or customization • Perform various tasks as needed to implement Company solutions such as creation of site architecture, input and formatting of customer provided content, basic troubleshooting and testing of features, etc • Maintain a fundamental understanding of the services and solutions our Company can provide to customers • Operate as a subject matter expert (SME), provides customers with insight and counsel and sees beyond the scope of service
Qualifications: • 3-5 years relevant work experience • Experience utilizing Project Management principles and methodologies • Experience with software implementation, integration, or other related Professional Services delivery preferred • Strong resource management skills such as: • ability to resolve conflict within group to achieve positive outcomes • ability to provide constructive feedback to resources to achieve positive outcomes • mentor resources • identify strengths/weaknesses • Ability to accurately scope projects for both resource allocation and delivery schedule • Experience in strategic planning of implementation group organization a plus • Ability to independently manage multiple high-profile client engagements simultaneously • Ability to navigate a matrix organization to gain delivery commitment from non-project resources to achieve client and project success • Advanced knowledge and proven application of project lifecycle methodologies • Understand and be able to clearly explain distributed web-based application architecture/product structure • e-Health and/or eMarketing experience preferred • Advanced verbal/written communication and presentation skills • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio. • Experience with SharePoint, Windows Server, SQL Server, ColdFusion, .NET a plus • Strong Customer focus with a desire for client interaction • Ability to travel up to 30% __________________________________________________________
