Responsibilities and Duties:
• Optimize manufacturing space by reviewing product flow and plant layouts.
• Develop and implement process improvements to make most efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials.
• Lead Capex projects for improvements to manufacturing capabilities and processes.
• Support and lead projects through the entire life cycle from design and prototype through production.
• Design control systems to minimize costs and prevent production issues.
• Establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions for production problems and develop re-work instructions as needed.
• Participate in and/or lead process improvement teams and other small project technical teams.
• Manage process documentation.
• Evaluate employee's tasks and responsibilities.
• Support the training of manufacturing staff and provide them with work instructions and manuals.
• Prepare production reports as needed.
• Participate in and/or lead team members in Health and Safety initiatives.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by Mi-Tech management.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: BS in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
• High attention to detail and organization.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
• Familiar with PLC ladder programming, CAD software, and plant layout.
• Expertise with engineering software.
• Experience in powdered metal manufacturing.
• Familiar with abrasive grinding operations.
Physical Requirements:
• Satisfy and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative productivity and quality standards.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
