*The California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation (CDCR) Headquarters has implemented a new automated system to streamline the hiring process. The Human Resources Technology System (HRTS) is an intuitive, user-friendly system that provides the applicant access to real-time updates throughout the hiring process. Under general direction of the Information Technology Manager I in the Offender Management product line, the Information Technology Supervisor II (IT Sup II) will be managing a high performing team producing Progressive Web Applications using Vue.JS, Vuetify, and Feathers while maintaining and supporting a portfolio of COTS and legacy applications. The incumbent must be knowledgeable in a variety of coding languages, keep abreast of emerging technologies, have a thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and experience with Project Management Principles, Agile and Waterfall methodology. The IT Sup II will stay current with the knowledge of best practices in security and testing with respect to application development. The incumbent must know the principles and practices of public administration at the state level, including management, organization, planning, budgeting, and project/contract management. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate leadership by leading the way, setting clear expectations, individual recognition, training and mentoring staff and using progressive discipline to promote individual performance. The incumbent will serve as the liaison between the EIS Technical Staff, vendors and various CDCR Division Program staff.

- Experience in MS Suite including Project, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Experience in Azure Dev Ops, and/or GitHub
- Experience with project management charters, plans, schedules, communications, risk and issue analysis

- Experience coaching and mentoring team members to help them grow, as well as knowledge of performance management techniques.

- Proven track record of delivering working software within specified time frames
- Ability to exercise initiative, good judgment, decision making abilities, honesty, dependability and make timely decisions while maintaining positive and trusting working relationships
- Experience with cross-functional project management using agile, hybrid, and waterfall methodologies and framework for successful project and product delivery outcomes
