Under the direction of the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) Information Technology Manager (ITM I), the Information Technology (IT) Supervisor II serves as the working IT Operations Supervisor and provides day-to-day IT operations services and manages the positions within the unit. The unit is responsible for help desk services, network and server operations, firewalls on premise and in the cloud, and application development. This position is in the Business Technology Management, System Engineering, Client Services, Information Security Engineering, and Information Technology Project Management domains.

Department Information The California Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) oversees emergency and disaster medical services in the state of California. EMSA functions as one of thirteen departments and five offices within California's Health and Human Services Agency (CalHHS). EMSA is charged with providing leadership in the innovation and administration of the emergency medical services (EMS) system throughout the state, which includes setting standards for the training and scope of practice for various levels of EMS personnel. EMSA is also responsible for promoting disaster medical preparedness throughout the state, and when required, coordinating, and supporting the State of California's medical response to major disasters.

Telework Information
This position may be eligible for telework up to three (3) days per week and is required to report in-person to the designated headquarters office location a minimum of two (2) days per week. The amount of telework permitted is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change, consistent with EMSA's Telework Program. All employees who telework are required to be California residents in accordance with Government Code 14200. Candidates who reside outside of the state of California may be interviewed; however, the selected candidate must have a primary residency in the state of California prior to appointment (and continue to maintain California residency) as a condition of employment. Failure to meet this requirement may result in the job offer being rescinded.
