Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead efforts to plan, implement, and supervise multiple concurrent IT projects from initiation to close
  • Build high-level plans that assemble the case, scope, timeline, RACI, budget, and resource requirements
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to develop and supervise project budgets
  • Work with project team members to capture detailed project requirements to ensure overall quality of delivery
  • Facilitate working sessions with team members to develop detailed project schedules (Dates, Durations, Dependencies, & Owners)
  • Supervise and report on project status (Quality, Schedule, Scope, & Budget) using standardized templates and forms
  • Proactively identify and supervise potential risks and issues to develop and implement mitigation or remediation plans
  • Work with project management members to identify and run high-level project interdependencies
  • Demonstrate dedication to maintaining customer satisfaction levels through timely well-articulated communications
  • Represent the department's capabilities and mission effectively to internal and external team members
  • Participate in the continuous development of Project Management policies and standard operating procedures
  • Find opportunities to improve and bring efficiency to project management processes
  • Participate in departmental workgroups to develop IT culture and identity
Position Qualifications:
  • At least 10 to 12 years of work experience
  • Required skills: Delivery Management and domain experience in Claims and Medicare & Medicaid Claims
  • Nice to have skills: IT Service Management
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or related project management field
  • PMP certification is required
  • Validated ability to run sophisticated IT projects
  • Prior experience managing projects in the healthcare industry is helpful
  • Authoritative knowledge and experience in principles, methodologies, and project management practices, including cost, schedule, resource, risk, customer, and scope management
  • Knowledge of business analysis principles, techniques, and tools
  • Able to work in a fast-paced IT environment, with multiple sophisticated and significant priorities
  • Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills when interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrate relationship savvy in building effective, trusted advisor relationships with business partners and IT alike using effective relationship-building, negotiation, mediation, and influencing skills
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of accountability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner
  • Demonstrate strong time and priority leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to understand sophisticated IT and operational needs to drive value to the business
  • Have experienced knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint)
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $52,000 - $116,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
