Inpatient Clinical Instructor

Insight Global is seeking an Inpatient Clinical Instructor to join one of the top healthcare systems in New York. This specific hospital is transitioning from a level 3 to level 2 trauma center on Long Island. Candidates for this position must have extensive experience within the ICU and hands on experience managing/educating new nurse grads and hires. The main responsibility of this position will be the clinical education and orientation of new nursing personnel which includes curating the residency program and classroom education. This person will also design preceptorship programs to ensure all necessary areas are covered. In total, this persons job will include assessment of educational needs, identifying educational outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational activities. This person should have a passion for educating and helping new hired nurses learn the skills necessary for success in their new role. The training period this person will be training new hires for is about 8-10 weeks.

Required Skills & Experience

1 year of experience working as a clinical manager or educator/instructor at an inpatient hospital
Background working in the ICU
Past experience working as a Med/Surg nurse
Unencumbered NY State RN License
BLS and ACLS
Bachelors or BSN

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Masters in Nursing
