Application Engineer II

We are looking for an individual with experience in pre-sale and post-sale support activities for industrial products serving the water treatment, oil/gas, and/or petrochemical industries. The individual in this role will be responsible for supporting quoting and order management of configured and engineered product orders for our mission-critical pump technologies. The best candidate will have excellent, customer service skills, quoting and estimating abilities, project management skills and be capable of forging strong interdepartmental relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review RFQ's, specifications and provide application engineering expertise in special applications (i.e. conceptual design of special configurations, evaluation of existing designs, basic modification of existing designs, etc.)
• Prepare and submit quotations and technical bid documents for configured and engineered-to-order products utilizing a variety of product selection tools, internal ERP system and technical resources
• Provide technical and commercial support to Regional Sales Managers, channel partners, and end users
• Provide project management for orders requiring special designs, documentation, testing and inspection from order receipt through customer acceptance.
• Assist with aftermarket application support and troubleshooting
• Coordinate with internal departments and outside suppliers for quoting and project management purposes
• Represent the company in customer meetings and coordinate commercial and technical negotiations as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering required
• 3-5 years of related experience in quoting and/or project management preferred
• Experience with industrial products in municipal water treatment, oil/gas, and/or petrochemical industries preferred
• Experience with metering pump technologies, a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, being able to easily pivot, and great at multi-tasking
