Responsibilities:

• Support the internal communications team to execute the internal engagement plan and strategy.
• Ensure messages are consistent with the overall brand and meet company standards to maintain and promote the positive image on behalf of the organization.
• Develop, coordinate, and create content to be distributed in a weekly e-newsletter, digital signage and eventually in a weekly printed newsletter .
• Create professional internal content written and in partnership with graphic designer to execute creative concepts in alignment with brand standards .
• Manages internal editorial calendar with a 3-4 week lookahead on content - brainstorming story ideas to feature success stories, workers, and innovative projects.
• Think several steps ahead and anticipates the needs of internal customers .
• This role may also serve as a support function for the communication team in areas such as event planning, external communication and other job duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in communications or related discipline).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in internal communications, public relations, or journalism is preferred. Experience can include related internships.
• Must have strong journalism-style writing skills with excellent command of AP Style - samples required
• Ability to translate complex material into easily digestible messaging.
  • Working knowledge of basic design layout is preferred for digital signage content
  • Preferred prior experience working in the manufacturing or related industry in a communications related field, but not required.
  • Preferred prior experience in newspaper reporting role, but not required
