Position Summary

Radiology Associates of Florida, a Radiology Partners practice, is seeking a full-time Interventional Radiology Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant to join their group in Sarasota, FL and Venice, FL. The ideal candidate will focus on rounding and consultations alongside current APPs. Secondary responsibility will be performing procedures.

This position works with the Interventional Radiology section of the local RP practice at Florida Interventional Specialty clinic, Sarasota Memorial Hospital, and SMH Venice Hospital. The group currently has 6 APPs, and 10 full-time IR Radiologists. Sarasota Memorial Hospital (SMH) is an 839-bed regional medical center and is among the largest public health systems in Florida. In the 2023-2024 U.S. News & World Report's "Best Hospitals", SMH-Sarasota received a top 20 ranking & rating. Sarasota Memorial also has continued its streak in nursing rankings and maintains a 5-start CMS ranking. Also, for the 8 th year in a row, Sarasota Memorial has been awarded a 5-start rating from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

This is a full-time position offering a comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off (PTO), medical insurance, continuing medical education (CME), a 401(k) plan, and additional benefits. The schedule consists of a four-day work week with 10-hour shifts, rotating between Monday and Saturday. Typically, coverage on Saturdays is required once every six weekends.

We are the teaching physicians for the University of South Florida Department of Radiology in Tampa. In Sarasota, our physicians staff the Florida State University College of Medicine, hosting medical students in their 3rd and 4th years. We also invite residents from the FSU Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine Residency programs to rotate in our departments.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Current NP/PA license and certificate of authority to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Florida required
• Board certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• BLS AND ACLS certification required
