IT Business Analyst

Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA and is seeking an IT Business Analyst. This is a full-time position based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The IT Business Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, analyze processes, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. They will work closely with project managers, developers, and testers to ensure successful implementation and delivery of IT solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders
• Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and systems
• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions
• Assist in developing use cases, user stories, and functional specifications
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and testers to ensure successful delivery of IT solutions
• Conduct user acceptance testing and facilitate user training sessions
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst
• Familiar with ITIL framework and best practices
• Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure and support processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
