IT Operations Manager

Leidos is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the IT Operations Manager to work in our San Antonio, TX office. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with the Integrated Defensive Cyber Systems mission supporting Air Force Defensive Cyber Operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex systems. This position is located near Lackland Air Force Base; all work is onsite.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as an advisor to peer Senior Leader in Customer Organization.
• Lead and supervise approximately 40 personnel providing tier 1, 2, 3 NOC/SOC, cyber training and cyber tech writing supporting AF cyber defense systems and providing regular updates to AF Group and Wing commanders on status of their systems.
• Lead tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 technicians supporting 24/7 workcenter in support of AF Defensive Cyber squadrons sensors, hardware, and software to include sensors at all 180 AF bases worldwide reporting into centralized Air Force Security Operations Center (SOC) and Cyber Protection Team gear deployed around the world - making sure the systems work to allow airmen to perform defensive cyber mission.
• Manage team developing and presenting training to defensive cyber airmen and internal technicians- training airmen on PMO provided systems to perform their defensive cyber mission.
• Guide team providing technical writing for PMO systems for airmen and internal tier 1/2/3 technicians
• Direct release and transition management process to ensure both internal maintenance teams and operational airmen are ready to use new hardware and software solutions
• Lead trend analysis on incidents to inform engineering team to take corrective actions
• Brief AF commanders on status of PMO provided equipment to meet Air Force and CYBERCOM readiness standards.

Basic Qualifications

• BA degree and 10-18 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of education
• Very strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Very strong leadership skills in a technical IT or cyber work center
• Must possess an active Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered.
• Previous experience with interacting with Senior Air Force leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

• IAT level III, IAM level III
• ITIL foundation or higher
• Prior experience:
• - with defensive cyber
• - supporting Air Force Cyber or Cyber Command
• - Defense Readiness Reporting Systems (DRRS) reporting for Air Force units or Joint Command and Control - Readiness (JCC2-R) reporting for CYBERCOM presented units
• - as a reddit moderator, Wikipedia editor, or similar collaborative methods for updating and revising technical documents.

Pay Range: Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
