As a member of the Operations and Maintenance team, you will be tasked with providing hardware and network technical support to the Spaceport Command and Control Systems.

You will play a central role in upgrading and maintaining computer equipment, networks, and telemetry equipment.

You will contribute to the functionality and reliability of the launch control systems. Responsibilities You must be a quick learner, able to work both independently and in groups, a self-starter, and highly motivated. You will be joining a strong team with a history of superior performance in a challenging and rewarding endeavor.

Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
• Troubleshoot and resolve anomalies in the Launch Control Systems (LCS) infrastructure.
• Respond to user inquiries, assess problems, and issues with IT equipment and provide general troubleshooting.
• Document incidents and support activities in the IT service management system.
• Offer daily operations and systems support to personnel.
• Coordinate with other teams to resolve inter-departmental issues and ensure seamless communication across the organization.
• Build and maintain equipment racks, ensuring proper setup and stability for operational needs.
• Test and run various types of cables, including network, power, and data cables.
• Troubleshoot and replace faulty hardware, including network equipment, computers, servers, and telemetry equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues.
• Execute regular maintenance and system checks to predict and prevent issues with equipment and network performance.
• Provide technical support to engineers performing operations, research, design, development, testing, and maintenance for process improvement.
• Perform non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity to eliminate unusual technical system problems.

Required:

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in IT field or at least three years of experience in an IT field of specialization.

A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution. is preferred, we recognize the value of practical, hands-on experience. Candidates with experience in IT support, even if they do not hold a degree, are encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to analyze information and solve problems efficiently.
• Installation/configuration of computer servers, switches, and other IT infrastructure.
• Willingness to work off-shift and weekends.
• If offered a position, proof of U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident/Green Card holder of the United States is required.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if necessary.

Desired Qualifications:
• Industry Certifications: CompTIA A+ certification; Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Technician (CCT), or CompTIA Network+; Microsoft certification; any relevant certification is a plus;
• Basic proficiency in troubleshooting common issues in Windows systems. Familiarity with Linux, Cisco, Juniper, Dell or similar systems;
• Understanding of networking principles and experience with network troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, simple network test equipment);
• Experience reading technical drawings;

Physical Requirements
• Will be required to climb stairs to access equipment for trouble shooting.
• Will be required to wear hearing protection, eye protection, and other associated personal protective equipment.
• Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.
• Physical requirements are sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures.
• Position is located on a hazardous testing facility; must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in the event of an emergency.

Work Environment
• Will be required to work inside and outside throughout the test complex.
• Position may require individual to travel daily to different areas on site.
• Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand, is required to access various locations on the facility.
• Climbing ladders and platforms may be necessary.
• All work must be completed in a safe manner in accordance with NASA and company safety standards. Attendance
• Full-time work hours.
• Position may require occasional overtime, including weekend work, depending on task.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Shift work may be required.

• Must be able to accurately communicate ideas both in writing and verbally.
• Professional Appearance: Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
• Must comply with all "drug free workplace" requirements as mandated by directives issued by the appropriate federal contracting officer and the company, which requires drug testing for use of illegal drugs by employees in sensitive positions.
• Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
