In support of a DISA prototyping effort, the Intel and Cyber Division is assembling a team of network engineers, systems engineers, Unified Communications Engineers, and Integration Engineers, change management specialists, information assurance professionals, and procurement personnel knowledgeable in SCRM processes to support a program that provides critical network capabilities to the Department of Defense. We are committed to recruiting and retaining this team for prototype development, test, and demonstration, as well as making this team available longer term for integration, deployment and sustainment as needed.

Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the IT Training Specialist include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Assist the Principal Training Specialist with planning, coordinating, executing, tracking, and evaluating organizational training.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate employee training plans and programs to support organizational needs, including technical and/or non-technical training.
  • Lead/instruct training classes comprised of 1-15 people in a classroom setting (in person and/or virtual).
  • Plan, prepare, coordinate, and conduct formal classroom courses, workshops, and seminars for IT personnel.
  • Maintain training environment, develop course content and training materials, and interface with senior technical staff.
  • Conduct research necessary to develop and revise training courses and prepare appropriate training catalogs.
  • Prepare instructor materials (course outline, background materials, and training aids) to be used by all trainers.
  • Prepare student materials (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course critique forms) to be used during instructor led training sessions.
  • Design surveys to assess individual skill levels before and after training sessions, the results of which will be used to adapt or enhance training approach.
  • Create reports and conduct presentations on training program impacts on individuals and/or organizations.
  • Create video, audio, or computer-based resources to enhance learning.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Exceptional attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Clearance Required:
  • Must have active Top Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI

Minimum Education:
  • High School Diploma

Minimum Years of Experience:
  • 5+ years of related experience

Preferred:
  • Experience with briefing VIPs, including Government senior executives, general officers, and political appointees
  • 3 years of IT-based experience
  • Strong background in developing and implementing a wide range of ITSM-based training needs
  • ITIL 4 certification
  • IAT Level II or 8570 compliant
