Role: Sr. Java Developer

Location: Hybrid in Dallas, Bentonville or Sunnyvale (1-2 days onsite per week, working Central Time zone)

Duration: Contract

What will this person's day-to-day responsibilities be?

- Handling business requirements and delivering them on Agile methodology.

What is the project this person will be working on?

- Sam's Club Personalization

- Supporting the Personalization initiative (showing recommendations on the landing page, personalized approach, this is just on the platform through Sam's Club nothing outside of that purview) ("Personalization" in software engineering tailors products and services to the specific needs of the individual users)

Must Have:

- Strong hands-on experience with Java (ideally version 11+)

- Spring tech stack including Spring Boot

- Hands-on experience with SQL (Postgres or MS SQL)

- Hands-on experience with NoSQL (Cosmos DB, Cassandra or MongoDB)

- Hands-on experience with event driven systems (Kafka, EventHub or PubSub)

- Cloud experience - must have some exposure to GCP or Azure (either one or both)

- Experience building data pipelines (building data pipelines using GCP DataFlow and Apache Beam or other)

- Experience deploying containerized applications (Docker)

- Kubernetes experience (understand the principles and foundations from a critical thinking and hands-on application experience)

- Personalization experience

Nice to Have:

- Data Flow experience

- eCommerce experience
