Lab Technician - Chemistry

Our client, in consumer packaged goods industry is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have analytical/chemistry lab skills, good communication, and organizational skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lab Technician - Chemistry
Location: Montvale, NJ
Pay Range: $27 - $30 hourly
Contract: 1 year (extension/conversion to perm possible)

What's the Job?

• Manage MSDS files, chemical inventory, laboratory supply order, and hazardous waste disposal.
• Maintain laboratory records in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice standards.
• Maintaining, monitoring, and calibrating laboratory equipment in a ready and compliant state.
• Assist with routine tests utilizing various analytical techniques.
• Follow all safety rules and standard operating procedures.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Forensics. New Grads welcome to apply. NOT Biochemistry or Biology
• 1- 3 years experience preferred in Analytical Chemistry Lab
• Basic understanding of analytical chemistry and its related technologies, such as LC, GC, FTIR, and wet chemistry techniques is desirable.
• Organizational, multi-task skills to display a degree of flexibility regarding changing task priorities.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
