Laboratory Assistant - Part-time

Salary Range: Hiring up to $13 hourly

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Summary

Dr. Kara Marshall in the Neuroscience department has an open position for a Laboratory Assistant. The laboratory assistant will aide with lab experiments and basic histology experiments.

Job Duties

• Assists with dissections, tissue processing, histology, immunostaining, fluorescence microscopy.
• Cleans laboratory equipment.
• Participates in journal club.
• Assists with organizing lab supplies and equipment and maintains scientific record keeping.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Six months of relevant experience.
