The Role:

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to work in our adhesives applications test lab. This role has knowledge and practice of lab protocol and will conduct extensive hands-on bench work building and testing samples while managing multiple Sales Technical Requests, determine materials needed, develop timing as appropriate, then report on results as well as other activities based on the needs of the organization.

This is an on-site role located in Minnetonka, MN. Only local candidates will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide adhesive technical guidance / support to internal and external customer groups related to adhesive applications, product performance, lab testing, product recommendations, product demonstrations, trouble shooting and technical training.
  • Manage assigned projects.
  • Coordinate with other Lab personnel to ensure an inventories of consumable lab suppliers are maintained to minimize delay in projects.
  • Gain an understanding of how to operate, manipulate and adjust common lab application and test equipment.
  • Seek understanding of customer processes and gain knowledge of industry equipment.
  • Generate Lab Reports for distribution to External / Internal Customer as appropriate.
  • Responsible for supporting policies and procedures consistent with ISO 9001 certification and ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation protocol.
  • Provide On‐Site and Remote Customer Service and Technical Support for various adhesive applications, such as End of Line Packaging, Converting, Graphic Arts and Product Assembly (including Automotive).
  • Build strong rapport with customers and organizational teams, providing technical assistance and troubleshooting through training, experience, knowledge, and use of available resources.
  • Respond to customer and sales inquiries related to technical questions, problem solving, requests for information with timeliness and professionalism.
  • Utilize various technologies and methods to manage workflow, communicate with outside and inside contacts, create content and access information.
  • Collaborate with team and organizational partners as well as being self‐motivated to prioritize, complete and communicate workflow efficiently and effectively.
  • Utilize customer resource management system (Salesforce) as a resource to manage technical requests.
  • Ability to productively communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of personalities and skill levels.
  • Show good judgment and professionalism in all job-related functions and correspondences.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree or 5+ years of experience in a Technical or Adhesives related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 20% of the time.
