KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead client service delivery actions / teams in the execution of engagements in compliance with firm and practice unit service delivery standards
  • Produce conceptual / logical architecture blueprints through linkage between client and user value chains, process flows, applications, data schemas, integrations, and IT capabilities
  • Serve across client bases to drive architecture and design of comprehensive modern solutions for strategic business / technology objectives
  • Collaborate with engagement delivery teams in setting technology strategies / transformation initiatives; experience in next-gen ecosystems including open-source concepts, web and data services
  • Contribute to determining technical / operational solutions, build vs buy decisions relative to implementations, benefits and costs as tied to business / technology objectives
  • Utilize cloud compute / storage resources and other on-prem and cloud-native services for data acquisition, management, transformation, model development and deployment
  • Collaborate with data engineers to develop and utilize the ETL process to ingest and enrich structured and unstructured data; leverage variety of data sources such as social media, news, internal/external documents, images, videos, voice, email, financial data and operational data
  • Perform explanatory data analyses, generate and test working hypotheses, prepare and analyze historical data and identify patterns; perform machine learning, natural language, and statistical analysis methods, such as classification, cluster analysis, collaborative filtering, sentimental analysis, language modeling, time-series analysis, regression, statistical inference, etc.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five years of IT Engineering (focus in data analytics) experience; U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • Experience in designing cloud architectures, implementing production infrastructure / applications in one or more of the following cloud environments / technologies: Azure, AWS, GCP using infrastructure as code approach, experience in developing data and analytics platforms / applications on cloud
  • Experience with information access and delivery methods, analytics applications and tool portfolio, data sourcing and integration methods such as OLAP/ROLAP/HOLAP and an understanding of data warehousing/mining, ETL, EII, data cleansing, and architecture
  • Strong understanding of governance, controls, process and procedures, centers of competency, change management, conceptual data modeling, master data management, data standardization and stewardship, information integrity and compliance, and data quality management
  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
  • U.S. citizenship required with an active U.S. Federal government TS/SCI security clearance
