JOB SUMMARY:
Provides high-level, discipline-specific, technical skills needed for the successful operation and maintenance of lighting elements for assigned Entertainment venues, projects, or events, to ensure highest levels of show quality and a positive guest experience.
Serves as Lead, with the ability to train others. Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of the technical entertainment department and employees. Works independently, and reports to a Technical Designer or above.

JOB SUMMARY:
Provides high-level, discipline-specific, technical skills needed for the successful operation and maintenance of lighting elements for assigned Entertainment venues, projects, or events, to ensure highest levels of show quality and a positive guest experience.
Serves as Lead, with the ability to train others. Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of the technical entertainment department and employees. Works independently, and reports to a Technical Designer or above.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively lead large crews as well a manage breaks. Monitors compliance with wardrobe/grooming standards, driving policy, radio usage and other UO policies. Actively reinforces company safety guidelines and programs; report non-compliance. Monitor Team Member productivity and work habits.
- Plan and delegate work tasks. Delegate work assignments among qualified crewmembers. Communicate performance expectations in an effort to ensure proper completion of tasks; provides both written and verbal feedback for recognition and performance improvement to management.
- Maintains and shares job knowledge, assists in training and continued development of team members. Communicates performance expectations to ensure proper completion of tasks while maintaining highest levels of show quality. Performs job duties as described in non-lead job descriptions.
- Communicate regularly with Lighting Designer, Programmer and Master Electrician to ensure prioritized tasks are completed and to obtain clear direction on intended design implementation. Provides two-way communications between work team and management. Communicate and coordinates with other departments or crafts as needed.
- Monitor care, condition, use and storage of tools, equipment and other UO property. Maintains material inventories and communicates these needs to management.
- Ensure proper completion of documentation for information flow. This may include daily FYIs and updating project task needs and tracking.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Technical school, Associate degree, or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Minimum of 4 year of experience within the assigned technical discipline.
- Highly skilled in various lighting control and dimming systems
- Skilled in emergency repair, parts assembly
- Advanced ability to interpret lighting plots
- Proficient in operating lighting controllers and consoles
- Proficient knowledge of electrical theory and load limitations
Preferred:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience within the assigned technical discipline
- Forklift operation experience
