The business unit thyssenkrupp Dynamic Components is one of the leading automotive suppliers and development partners for highly complex drivetrain technologies. Around 3,500 employees produce 27 million drivetrain components a year at ten locations in Germany, Liechtenstein, Hungary, China, USA, Brazil and Mexico. The product range mainly comprises assembled camshafts, valve train systems and rotor shafts for high-end combustion, hybrid and electric engines. Further products for battery electric vehicles are already at an advanced stage of development. Summary

The Learning and Development Coordinator is a key contributor to employee development at thyssenkrupp Dynamic Components of Danville. This role is engaged in an effort to develop, enhance and improve the overall learning and development experience of the training concepts and qualifications strategy aligned with key business unit stakeholders. This role is charged with developing and managing the strategic direction and development of L&D Programs that aids in closing the skill gap within the thyssenkrupp organization.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED. Four-year degree in Learning and Development is preferred. Experience leading teams and mentoring is preferred.
  • Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulation; write reports, business correspondence, and procedures; effectively speak in public and present information and respond to questions from all levels of personnel throughout the organization and external groups.
  • Technology: Microsoft Office, SuccessFactors LMS, SAP

Key Deliverables:

The Learning & Development Coordinator serves as an engaged and trusted source in the organization. Success in this role is measured by key performance indicators outlined in AIM goals and targets and successful IATF 16949 audits. Key deliverables to ensure success are listed below:
  • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Owns the lifecycle of all thyssenkrupp Training Concepts and Implementation Programs related to the OPX Scan.
    • Charged to develop, procure and overhaul training programs that cover a comprehensive topics and modules required to build a great company, with great people, with great results. The training must be scalable with minimal variation.
    • Monitors KPI performance and helps identify leading indicator KPI's that drives key business outcomes around the AIM targets.
    • Creates a respectful and engaging relationship across the entire organization.
  • Owns the lifecycle of train the trainer programs:
    • Helps identify, coach and develop all trainers that specialize in knowledge needed to onboard and cross train.
    • Ensures that we have the right amount of trainers in place that enables large scale training waves.
    • Ensures consistency around initial training courses through onboarding that is critical for all new hires and employees.
  • Owns the Training Administration Process:
    • Serves as the SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS) Key User.
    • Manages the Training process in N5. Manages skill matrix for departments not currently utilizing the LMS.
    • Responsible for all training recordkeeping; logs and files all training documentation for the organization. Responsible for Training Application Process.
    • Serves as the point of contact for IATF 16949 process expert for Training. Acts as the lead chair in audits for internal and external purposes for training administration.
  • Facilitates collaboration and learning across multiple departments, business units and even other facilities.
    • Effectively captures and shares new ideas and strategies and brings forth content is a clear and concise way.
    • Builds effective relationships with external partners that helps develop needed trainings and necessary skills.
    • Drives awareness and engagement around R4 requirements that supports daily work routines and habits.
    • Can clearly identify SQDC targets and their relevance to daily work and the different forms of waste that exist.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Has authority to stop processes to correct quality, safety or environmental problems, identify and place suspect product on quality hold, and to promptly notify Supervisory personnel when processes become noncompliant.
