Job Description:
Leads projects and executes strategic efforts to integrate career development efforts across the University of Florida. Serves as the database administrator for all Experiential Learning activities across campus. Provide project leadership for large projects by establishing goals and monitoring progress to ensure successful completion. Work collaboratively with campus partners to evaluate and disseminate system information to appropriate constituents; make recommendations to improve services and efficiencies based on system usage. Coordinate the implementation of system updates, faculty and staff training, and launching new system enhancements. Support the center's hold initiatives by serving as the main point of contact for all technical aspects and relationship management with UF IT and the Office of the Registrar. Work collaboratively with stakeholders across campus to evaluate and disseminate system information to appropriate constituents.
Presents and facilitates workshops on an ongoing basis to help faculty and staff maximize leadership qualities and cultivate new strengths. Participates and facilities that the university's formal leadership programs. Develops and designs learning aids including, but not limited to, instructional guides and web simulations to assist in transferring knowledge, skills, and abilities. Evaluate the effectiveness of training materials to ensure objectives are accomplished. Provide advice and guidance for comprehensive learning and training programs, including course/project scope, timeline, materials, and evaluation.
Track, report, and communicate outcomes and project statuses to various stakeholders including students, alumni, faculty/staff, and employers. Maintain up to date knowledge of employment trends for higher education, experiential learning, and appropriate career development expertise. Research, analyze, and seek resources to resolve issues that impede project progress. Provide trend data in monthly reports for distribution to various stakeholders related to experiential learning activities across campus. Respond to internal and external data requests accurately and timely. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Demonstrate how experiential learning employ ability- mobility and high-impact practices. Additionally, support individual teams within the career center in maintaining and evaluating relevant data by meeting regularly to review data needs and sharing updates.
Performs other administrative duties as assigned by the Associate Director and higher authorities in the department and division. Attends staff meetings and one-on-one supervision meetings to ensure clear communication with colleagues and supervisors. Participates in department, division and university-wide committees. Potentially supervises interns, or student assistants. May have indirect impact on the position duties of other Center staff members. Track, report and communicate outcomes of projects to various Center stakeholders including students, alumni, faculty/staff, and employers. Lives out Center's values in all aspects of job function.
Expected Salary:
$60,000 - $62,000 annually
Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated skills in career development, clinical supervision, effective oral and written communications, research and analysis, interpersonal interaction, supervision and management.
A working knowledge of computers and word-processing and database management is essential to this unique environment. At least a masters degree in counseling or associated field.
Familiarity with the National Association of Colleges & Employers' (NACE) NACELink & Symplicity Career Services Manager (CSM) system and its family of associated programs is essential to effective direction of the Center's Career Development function.
