The Department of Justice, Legal Support Operations section is currently seeking a well-rounded, friendly individual to fill our Legal Support Technician position.

Under the immediate supervision of a Legal Support Supervisor, the Legal Support Technician will perform a wide variety of clerical and administrative duties that support and provide assistance to legal secretarial teams. Duties include: completing correspondence and other non-legal documents pertaining to court proceedings which are often of a confidential nature, assisting legal secretaries in accurately preparing documents for court filing by typing, verifying and editing legal documents, as well as preparing exhibit tabs.

General administrative tasks include: Bates numbering, photocopying, preparing envelopes, labels, and messenger service slips for service of documents, assisting in opening and closing case files in the ProLaw database, preparing closed files by boxing and preparing labels for long term storage. The Legal Support Technician may set up conference rooms for meetings and depositions, or other supporting office functions.
