Superior Healthcare Management is hiring an experienced Long-Term Care Biller/Business Office Manager to join our team!

Primary Purpose of this Position

The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the day-to-day bookkeeping function of the facility in accordance with current acceptable accounting practices overseeing a 275-bed facility.

Hours: Monday through Friday, Hourly

Wage: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Location: On-Site *This is not a remote position*

Experience: Must have, as a minimum, at least 2 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting practices. Experience in healthcare accounting preferred.

Education: Must possess, as a minimum, a high-school diploma or its equivalent.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Generate and submit accurate billing statements for services rendered to residents.
  • Review patient records to ensure proper documentation and coding for billing purposes.
  • Verify insurance coverage and process claims promptly to facilitate timely reimbursement.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and insurance companies to resolve billing inquiries and disputes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance regulations and requirements
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid claims to ensure timely payment.
  • Prepare and reconcile financial reports related to billing activities for management review.
  • Assist with financial audits and compliance assessments as needed.
  • Collection of private and income monies owed to the facility.
  • Distribute resident funds
  • Inputting of census information into billing and clinical software
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must be able to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Must be competent with Windows operating system, accounting software and, EMR system and spreadsheets. Must possess the ability to examine and verify financial documents and reports.
